This is an addition to an existing mid-century modern ski house. We designed a super-insulated addition that relates to the existing house without overwhelming it. We referenced the original architecture and used the design to improve the site in terms of privacy and indoor/outdoor living. We used a fun modern aesthetic to create beautiful spaces for the display of art, enjoyment of the view and comfortable living for two people or the whole extended family. The warm modern look is also a good way to get more bang for your buck! The last photo is a stair created with stock metal pieces - no welding. It goes together like an erector set.
