When I was in high school I worked for a man who was something of a genius. I am in retrospective awe. This is a device he put together to sift and sort loads of stone and gravel into various piles. It belongs at the Met.

This is a suspended stair with hardwood posts and stringers and with the treads cantilevered on 1 1/2" steel angle. Too hip for Vermont.
